A triptych painted in metallic acrylics and watercolor on black canvas board, exploring the emotional journey of a life through the wings of a single butterfly.
Blue & Purple : The beginning. The world was dark when I first arrived in it — but my family gave me my first light. My little finger curled around one hand of my father, one of my mother, and that was enough to hold back the dark.
Pink threaded through purple :Friendship, laughter, happiness. Even when life felt sad, my friends were the color that stayed bright.
Siblings -The purple carries hints of blue and pink together — because happiness and darkness were never separate in my life, they moved side by side, and that's where I learned to understand both.
Gold :The soul that remains. After every relationship — the ones that stayed and the ones that left — I learned that people come and go, but I have to gather myself and choose myself. Gold is the calm, gentle soul I've become: one who doesn't hurt herself anymore, who flies quietly, satisfied, at peace.
