Initially, a painter, Vernika has been practicing in New Delhi for the past 8 year and 3 years since she commenced sculpting. The flexibility and movement of human figures interest her, and she tries to capture the same in her sculptures. Most of her works are inspired by athletics as she believes, the body experiences full freedom of movement during any such activity.
