Vartika Sinha (b 1984, India), In pursuit of Purposeful life

I make Art to document my ever-evolving inspiring journey. Since childhood I have travelled in various geographies. In hindsight I gathered diverse cultural experiences & now it’s my constant source of inspiration. I am passionate about holistic health & subtle elements of nature, daily- use objects and emotions. My work is a unification of two subjects -obvious objects & underlying abstract ideas. I create still life & portraits in the ‘Realism’ genre; Oil, Charcoal and Graphite are my preferred medium.

Art Education and Background

A Chartered Accountant, worked for 11 years with General Electric & Coca-Cola. I always knew my passion was somewhere else, it took me a couple of years to hear the inner voice. In 2018 I quit my corporate career; with a leap of faith, I went to pursue the Realism genre from living Master Mark Carder (Carder Art Academy, Austin, USA). My key learnings are composing, drawing, using a limited colour pallete and painting from life. I believe in continuous learning & currently I am learning Charcoal & Graphite in Classical Academic style from Sherrie McGraw.
