Scripted with emotions” is how Sunita Vasanth defines her art. She is an Indian artist, based in Dubai,
versatile with watercolours, acrylics and oils. Her choice is to break away from pre-defined formats and use
the freedom of her palette to bring to life her vibrant florals and nature based creations. Capturing the
“moment” is what she strives to portray. Painting to her is spiritual, a disconnect from the materialistic.
Post a promising management career, since 2008, her artistic evolution has been remarkable. She
constructs a captivating visual story by layering her moods with colour and textures giving the viewer a
real time nature-experience. She hopes for others to see how her lessons from everyday nature help her
evolve as a person and an established artist. Her compositions and techniques are unique and captivating.
She aspires to bring forth sunshine and joy to her patrons through her work.
Her time is immersed in working on individual orders and corporate commissions. She also volunteers for
art therapy sessions at Medico-pastoral Association, Bangalore, a rehabilitation center for the adult
mentally ill. She conducts art demos and sessions for children and adults. Also online for Silver Talkies, a
virtual community for seniors. An NGO that financially empowers women, uses her painting as their icon.
With a Commerce degree and a Masters in Business Administration, she has recently graduated with a
second Masters in Drawing and painting from an Indian University.
Over the years, her passion and perseverance have helped mature her artistic skills. “Efflorescence” in 2019
was her first Solo. She has exhibited in over 50 shows globally. International Watercolour Society, one of
the largest international platforms for watercolour has selected her work on multiple occasions show casing
in New Delhi, Dubai, Prague, Nepal and Myanmar. She has also exhibited in Fabriano, Italy, with
Fabriano Aquarello and in World Art Dubai 2023 and 2024.
