Smita Verma, originally from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, embarked on her artistic journey over 25 years ago. While pursuing a Diploma in Fashion Design at NIFD, Jodhpur, she discovered her passion for drawing and sketching. She then pursued an M.A. in Drawing and Painting from Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya, Chitrakoot, Satna (MP). Smita further honed her skills by studying Kangra miniature painting and watercolour techniques for several years under the guidance of a renowned artist in her hometown. Nature, with its clouds, greenery, birds, and the sun and moon, serves as a major source of inspiration for Smita's work. She strives to harmonize these elements with the world around her. Believing in the energy of the universe, her art reflects the connection between humans and nature, emphasizing how this balance influences the energy of all beings.
