Siddharth Gavade is a contemporary artist based in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. He has completed his G.D. Art (Fine Art) diploma from Lalit Kala Mahavidyalaya and Kalavishwa Mahavidyalaya, Sangli, and holds a Dip. A.Ed. from Navkrishna Valley Fine Art College, Sangli (2015–16). Currently working as a freelance artist, Gavade’s practice is rooted in painting, with a strong focus on portraiture and landscape.His figurative works explore the aesthetic beauty of women, examining the influence of modern and Western culture on Indian women while also celebrating traditional Indian femininity. Through expressive brushwork and imaginative compositions, he seeks to present fresh perspectives and contemporary approaches to portrait painting. Alongside figurative art, Gavade is deeply engaged with landscape painting, particularly cityscapes, Banaras ghats, and village scenes. His landscapes emphasize the play of light and shadow, rich color relationships, and atmospheric depth.
