Saumya Vohra

About The Artist
Saumya Vohra is a self-taught impressionist painter who lives in New Delhi. Nature has inspired
her to create beautiful oil paintings. After experimenting with a lot of mediums and styles, she
has developed her own distinctive style of painting.
She began painting as a young girl, learning watercolor, oil pastels, acrylic and ink from art
instructors. After graduating from college with an engineering degree, Saumya entered the art
trade as a professional, inspired by landscapes and sea. She believes in improving her skills
daily and has dedicated herself to create one painting every week. She has developed her
unique technique of placing impasto brushstrokes in different patterns which lends a sense of
movement and scruptural effect to her art.
