Chandana Bhattacharjee is a New Delhi–based artist and art educator with over three decades of experience. She holds a BFA from Lucknow University and a Master’s degree in Drawing & Painting, and works primarily in oil and acrylic, incorporating classical wash-painting techniques learned from her Guru, the late B. N. Arya.

Her practice explores nature, spirituality, and the philosophy of Jeevan Yatra, blending realism with abstract and semi-abstract expressions while addressing environmental balance. Chandana has exhibited in over 60 solo and group shows across India and internationally, including Sri Lanka and Italy, and at leading institutions such as India Habitat Centre, Lalit Kala Akademi, AIFACS, and Triveni Kala Sangam. She is a recipient of the Amrita Sher-Gil Award and the Make in India Award, and continues to actively contribute as a practicing artist and educator.
