Amit Srivastava is an IIT-Delhi alumnus, who quit his rewarding career in pursuit of his long-standing passion for the arts which took him to The Ryder Studio (USA), where he studied under master painter Anthony Ryder, with a classical realistic style of painting and life drawing as the focal points of his learning. While in the US, he attended workshops by renowned artists like David Leffel and Jeremy Lipking, to name a few.
Figurative works are his forte, and he loves doing still life and landscapes. His work is a synthesis of keen, careful observation and classical painting techniques, stemming from the belief that when you pay enough attention to something, it opens up to you. He likes to experiment with his style, and seeks to give more narrative to his artwork. His works hang in private collections in India and the US.
